Client Reviews
Chen Hui-Ying
Zhonghe, New Taipei
"My mother was reluctant at first — she's always been proud of managing on her own. The aide that Duskfen sent was patient enough that after the first week, my mother stopped calling it help and started calling it company. That shift meant a lot to me."

"The errand service has been genuinely useful for my father's hospital follow-ups. The coordinator is thorough — she asked the right questions before the first trip, and the feedback after each appointment is brief but informative. There was a minor scheduling mix-up in the second month, but it was sorted quickly."

"We have been using the round-the-clock service for my grandmother since November. Knowing there is someone present through the night changed everything for our family — the stress level has dropped noticeably. The primary caregiver knows my grandmother's preferences by now, and that continuity has made a real difference."

"The consultation process gave us a clear picture of what we were agreeing to. There were no surprises with the billing. My father was matched with someone who speaks Taiwanese, which mattered for his comfort. We have renewed for a second quarter."

"We've used the outing service for my mother's bi-weekly appointments for several months. It's taken something off my plate that I couldn't easily manage with work. The aides are punctual and handle the practical side — transport, waiting at the clinic, accompanying through the pharmacy — so my mother isn't left to manage it alone."

"My father lives alone and we live in Taichung — the geographic distance was something we worried about constantly. The 24-hour service has given us peace of mind we couldn't find elsewhere. The coordination team keeps us informed without overwhelming us, and the primary caregiver has been with him since the start, which he appreciates."

Client Stories in Detail
Daytime Companionship · Yonghe District
From reluctance to routine
THE SITUATION
An 82-year-old woman living alone in Yonghe had been managing independently but was becoming more cautious about mornings after two minor falls. Her daughter, working full-time, was concerned but didn't feel an institutional setting was right.
WHAT WE DID
After the consultation, we placed a morning aide five days a week. The aide joined the existing morning routine without disrupting it — gradually assisting with the parts of the morning that had become challenging, particularly the kitchen and bathroom.
THE OUTCOME
No falls in six months. The client's daughter describes the change as the biggest improvement in her mother's daily life in years — and noted that her mother looks forward to the aide's visits rather than tolerating them.
Round-the-Clock Support · Banqiao District
Continuous care after a hospital stay
THE SITUATION
A 78-year-old man was discharged from hospital after a hip surgery. He needed full-time support at home while recovering — the family could not provide this themselves across day and night.
WHAT WE DID
We arranged round-the-clock support with a primary caregiver overseeing recovery, medication scheduling, safe movement around the home, and regular reporting to the family. A secondary aide covered night shifts on a rotating basis.
THE OUTCOME
Recovery progressed without setbacks. After three months, the family transitioned to a daytime-only arrangement as independence returned. The family noted the consistent care team made the recovery period feel less isolating for their father.
